The Atai Guards are the royal bodyguards in the Second Gurubashi Empire. They are fiercely loyal to their Emperor, and will protect him even at the cost of their own lives. While they also guard the Councilors of the Empire, ultimately their loyalty is to the Emperor and the Emperor alone. In addition to bodyguard duties, they serve as the extension of the Emperor's will. They enforce his commands and thus help keep the peace within the Empire.
