The Fireflies where a group scouts that would infiltrate enemy lines and report the enemy troop movements. While remaining hidden in the shadows they would make small parties of foes vanish. They would take out supposed high-ranking officials in groups to leave the remaining enemy in disarray. Their tactics would buy more time for other night elf militants to assemble in calculated strategic positions on the battlefield using the information that The Fireflies would supply. The Fireflies would later be named Winter Knights after the devastating battle at Nordrassil that left them with only four members in remembrance of its former leader, Huntress Winterfalls.
